The recreation area of this brand new school suffered from one drawback- the children’s shoes (and consequently the internal corridors and class rooms) were getting soiled from the grassed areas.
You will notice the yellow border in the main area installed as a nod to the Meath county GAA colours. The black strip along the edge of the tarmac was installed as a buffer between it and the wet grass.
A long timber walkway/bridge was covered in a bright turquoise grass which serves to make it non-slip and a lot safer to traverse. We felt the mushrooms merited a similarly attractive colour.
