This is an outdoor ( but covered ) beer garden / smoking area for the newly renovated The LAURELS PUB in Clondalkin, Dublin. Pictures were taken on the day we left but I believe that once it was furnished and finished it is a really lovely place for an outdoor pint and a smoke.
There are some lovely gas fires and cosy furniture.
We used our ever popular LOCO grass in this installation – it’s a short grass but very hard wearing and stands up well to heavy use. A light infill of kiln dried sand was brushed in as an added protection against burns from people dropping lighted cigarettes.
The grass is fire retardant and has passed rigorous flame tests at our production facility and also by some independent fire testing agencies across various EU countries. Just for your peace of mind if you are thinking of using grass in a smoking area – it will not burn if a lighted match is dropped onto it. The immediate area might singe slightly but it will not burn.
